Bassam Fattouh New Makeup Line

You have probably heard that makeup artist Bassam Fattouh has recently launched his first line of cosmetics and it will be selling soon in Kuwait. I’m not a pro when it comes to make-up, but one thing I know for sure about this line is how absolutely beautiful the packaging is! I loved the artwork and how  the illustration of the women almost represents women in our region, the long black hair, the curvaceous shape,  and the heavily kholed eyes. I can't stop staring at the packaging.  So I had to find out who's the talented person behind it.  After some research and digging, I've found out that the illustrations have been done by a Lebanese artist and book illustrator Najah Taher, who owns a studio in Hamra Beirut called Zaweya.

The make-up line is already selling at the Bassam Fattouh Institute in Verdun-Beirut, so if you happen to be there you can purchase the products before it hits the market.  The make-up line will soon be available in Kuwait at VaVaVoom - Marina and Debenhams, and in Qatar at 4-U Royal Plaza and 4-U City Center.

I love benefit's packaging but to me their products suck big time and oh yes I've bought a lot of stuff that only ended up to be part of the room interior design :P

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
