Summer with Ashi

I just found out that Beirut-based Saudi designer Ashi has unvelied his S/S 2014 collection during Milan Fashion Week. Keeping true to his signature designs,  Ashi  went for tulle, feathers, and lots of ruffle details. Almost all of the photos published for this collection looked so damn gorgeous. Thankfully to me, they all look more suitable for a party host than a party guest, so these gorgeous over-the-top gowns and cocktail dresses are just a reminder that the least I can do is dream, and save money for items that'll wear and tear this season.

Heart In My Hands

I got this beautiful surprise all the way from Beirut, a golden necklace with hands holding a red heart detail. Such quirky cool accessoires not only brighten my wardrobe but also my day! Thank you to the talented Beirut-based designer Dina Khalifé for your nice gesture. L.O.V.E it! You can find out more about  Dina Khalifé   by clicking on my previous post here .

The New Celine

I promised myself not to buy a Celine bag this season. Yes their quality is impeccable, and yes  they're definitely beautiful bags, but I also don’t want a fancy shmancy bag that celebrities have played out, and everyone and their mamas has (luggage bag?), no thanks you. Of course all that was suddenly forgotten the moment I stepped inside the  Celine  store the other day. My eyes fell on the most on gorgeous fold-over tri-color shoulder bag I have seen in a while. It was easy to carry, not heavy, and the leather/suede were sooo soft. I loved every bit of it, AND it's not the luggage bag, which by the way I saw a new version of it and I LOVED it because it had a check-woven detail in red, white and black, but no, I won't fall for it again..... for now.

B Journal's Photoshoot

In a previous post I mentioned that we worked with B Journal , a lifestyle quarterly printed magazine with carefully curated in-depth reports and engaging stories from Kuwait and around the world, on a special fashion editorial. The theme of the editorial was about nature and all clothes, shoes, and handbags were provided by AlOthman Boutique , being surrounded by the most stylish high-end designer pieces and the prettiest shoes, I really felt like a kid in a candy store. I had to remind myself that all this is for the photoshoot, we're not shopping here! Anyhow, the model was Tunisian designer Jihene Bin Jazia , you can find out more about her and her lovely caftan designs by clicking  here . The jewelry and the watches were provided by Behbehani Group, so lots of fine things  by Van Cleef and Arpels and Korloff . Actually we had to have someone guarding the pieces the whole time while doing the shoot, especially that one  Van Cleef and Arpels  watch costs like something aro

Video: Moda Operandi How It Works

Moda Operandi  have appointed LA based, cult illustrator Jamie Lee Reardin to animate the online trunk show experience from start to finish. Like a mini-fairytale, her impossibly elegant protagonist sees the runway show, whose front-row is complete with charming renditions of some of the industries most illustrious characters (I spy TTH). She naturally desires the dress, later logs on to  Moda Operandi  and clicks to buy in her size. On delivery of her coveted piece, just a few months later, she gives the camera a contagious wink!  Moda Operandi  s message; don’t dilly-dally; there is nothing to fear but the tragedy of missing that must-have piece .

Talise Spa

I was invited to a private tour of Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel's recently open spa, Talise . The spa has exactly what you need to truly relax and unwind; including saunas, massage rooms, hot tubs, jacuzzi, steam room, plunge pool, ice room, and salt room, which I'll explain more about in a few. The place smelled nice and I felt instantly transformed into a serene and tranquil environment. At the reception area of the spa, they had 3 line of beauty products on display, and if my memory serves me right, I think they're exclusively sold at Talise spa: Natura Bisse , which is a complete beauty cure that greatly improves the skin's ability to protect itself from stress and help prevent the damages caused by our modern lifestyle, Aromatherapy Associates , which is known as the world's leading expert in creating aromatherapy treatments and products at a professional and therapeutic standard for your complete physical and emotional well-being, and finally  ila ,  an

I Heart CDG for Converse

I squealed with excitement when my friend sent me photos of Comme des Garcons Play's latest collab with Converse ! She spotted them at Harvey Nichols Kuwait recently. I do own the pair with the one  CDG  heart and wear them the whole time when I'm running errands. They're so comfortable e and practical that I would never travel without them. The new version is entirely covered with CDG 's hearts and they look super awesome. I'm contemplating whether it's worth it to buy the newer version too, Maybe just in case my converse gets damaged or torn?  It's amazing how I can instantly find a reason to justify shopping....

Outfit of the Day

My go-to outfit this summer was this grey t-shirt with rolled up sleeves by H&M and a Rihanna for River Island black cotton skirt with an illusion tie-shirt detail at the waist, going for that 90's grungy look. I paired my outfit with my  Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals, and a statement necklace . This was taken during a photoshoot session for B-Journal quarterly magazine where I did the styling for a fashion editorial, will share more photos soon.  For one of the looks I picked this cool  Alexander Wang rocco bag with rose gold studded detail from AlOthman boutique . Hmmm I liked it so much with my outfit that I'm wondering now if I should buy one.

Video: Karl Lagerfeld's video for FENDI

I have just received this teaser video from Fendi 's  team of Karl Lagerfeld's film starring Cara Delevingne, Saskia De Brauw and Lady Harlech. The story takes places on a still evening, two elegant young women arrive at a grand, time-peeled mansion to attend a black tie dinner party, invited by a mysterious host. I'm in love with how Cara's hair was styled, would definitely go for this look for a change if I have a wedding to attend.  The  Fendi  film will be featured on the site in the coming days.

The Diet Address

Being a mother with a full time job and a blog, sometimes I have a hard time making time to eat healthy. So when I was approached by The Diet Address , to get a one-day free trial of their meals, I was like, sure why not, let's give it a go. Franchised from Lebanon, the company offers various diet plans for diabetes, normal weight loss,  detox, gaining weight, kids program, gluten free, and down syndrome. I compared their prices for the normal weight loss plan specifically to other existing local competitors and found their rates to be the lowest. I was impressed, but I had to test the food first before I made my final judgement, I tried their normal weight loss diet so they delivered breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks plus dessert. Unfortunately on that day I was too hungry to wait and take proper photo of each meal. But trust me when I say, every meal I had was simply perfect in terms of taste (yummy), quality (the meat used was so good), and quantity. I felt comfo

Dazed by Delpozo

Ever since Spanish house  Delpozo's S/S 2014 designs were shown on the runway and I've been constantly checking   Moda Operandi 's trunk show, trying to decide which look should my so-called savings will be spent on, every piece is simply divine. The designer sent out an array of beautifully voluminous ethereal dresses, some adorned with a variety of floral appliqués. According to the site, the designer was Inspired by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot's portrait of a Gypsy woman. And of course a look like that wouldn't b complete without a pair of perfectly pointed toe pump with a jaw-dropping basket woven details with a swirl, HEART! Delpozo  is currently Available for preorder on Moda Operandi only until September 17.

Event: 4 Concept Boutique's Fall Launch

Last night I had the pleasure to attend 4's event to celebrate the launch of its AW 2013 collection. If you've been living under a rock and never heard of 4 Concept store , then you're missing out big time. This place is the go-to destination for any avant-garde fashion lover.  I was secretly hoping that the place won't be fully-packed so I could get a good look at the merchandise and not get side-tracked from my main objective of my visit, aka shopping. But of course, I was kind of pushing my luck, it's an event after all, the place should be at full capacity. And what a crowd and an event it was, I was feasting my eyes on their amazing merchandise, they had good selection of Rick Owens, CDG, Demeulemeester, the two Charlottes (Olympia and le Tan) and so much more, they also had visits by some of our best dressed ladies in K-town, as you can see from the photos below. I like the fact that 4's team was also supporting local talents, they had live music p
