The Preen x Aldo Rise collection is back!

The  Preen x Aldo Rise collection  is finally in-stores at Aldo branches in Kuwait. I've been waiting for this collaberation to hit Kuwait's market ever since I saw the styles on Preen's A/W 2013 runways. I only found two styles actually, the ankle-strap pump and a triple-buckle zippered bootie (as shown in the photo above). Both styles are made out of leather, pony hair, and suede. I tried the red booties on, they didn't quite fit me well, but I loved the way they looked, a mix of punk-rock edginess with a touch of femininity. Check out photos of the  Preen x Aldo Rise   shoes on the runway, taken via style.com.

Fuzzy Wuzzy Was a Raccoon

The moment I saw Vika Gazinskaya un-stuffed animal stoles during fashion week and I have been contemplating whether I should get me one or not, would I be able to pull it off or would I look like a ridiculously gigantic 6 years old girl snuggling her fuzzy friend. Of course the always fashion-forward multi-brand boutique N has just received the raccoon stole and it looked soooo cute, however I didn't have the guts to buy or wear it. For some reason I didn't try it on either, maybe I should next time I shop there, that is if it's still not sold out.  Check out how cute they look on  Vika Gazinskaya 's  lookbook on style.com.

In My Closet: ecru Alphabet Charm

I'm slightly obsessed with my recent purchase, ecru's alphabet charm. I wanted to buy the first letter of my last name as well but it was in silver too, I prefer to have them in clashing colors, so I settled for the first letter of my first name only. The embroidered alphabet charms  make a great gift idea as well for people who love an appreciate the beauty of our language.  ecru  is currently stocked at AlOthman Boutique in Salmiya and some items can be purchased online here .

Jewellery Arabia's Gala Dinner

As you may already know, last week Bahrain held one of the most prestigious jewellery exhibitions in the region  Jewellery Arabia Show , which I was very lucky to attend it for the first time. You can view  previous post here . The night I arrived to Bahrain, I was invited to  Jewellery Arabia  2013 Gala Dinner, which was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. So around 9PM, TheOverdressed , one of my favorite fashion bloggers in the region, picked me up from the hotel and off we went to the gala dinner. Needless to say she looked absolutely gorgeous in her emerald green crepe wool dress with flounced hemline and decorative beaded button from  Erdem . She cleverly paired it with a shrunken jacket by the same brand, and a matching Nancy Gonzalez  clutch. As for me, I chose to go for my Simon Rocha  gigantic one side ruffled skrit, paired with my favorite Alaia sandals, layered pearl necklaces, a crepe black top by COS,  and my Tonya Hawks clutch.  The formal sit-down gala dinner attr

Flavor of the Day: Cutler and Gross x Erdem White Lace Sunglasses

Cool and quirky is the name of the game for UK-based brand Cutler and Gross . I've been in love with the brand ever since I bought my first pair from former multi-brand boutique N.B. Boutique  in Salhiya Complex. I turned the quirky retro chic sunglasses into my regular eyeglasses and I still wear them on lenses-free days. So when I received an e-mail about the launch of Bullets and Butterflies 's  online shopping site, the first brand that caught my attention was  Cutler and Gross , where I found these lace sunglasses designed for Erdem . You can find other styles to drool over here .

Event: Sheen Ghain

I have been invited to Sheen Ghain 's opening Sunday night, but due to my personal commitments that night, my friend and I came in a tad bit late. Fortunately for us, we did manage to meet the owners as well as the PR manager of  Sheen Ghain  the lovely Dima Al Dilham , who looked impeccable in her Acne skirt and black silk-chiffon button-down shirt, and statement necklaces. Dima, better known as Me_Capi , has managed to keep us all in suspense weeks before the official opening. Even when I received the actual invite I was still wondering what was it about.  So finally we managed to find out what it was. Basically, it's a very spacious and modern multi-purpose space available for short-term rental. Uses might include arts exhibitions, corporate and social gathering/meeting space, or public/private events such as book launches, catwalk shows, new brands launches... etc. Because we came in late and missed the event, and only managed to take the first two photos of thi

Event: My visit to the Jewellery Arabia Show in Bahrain

Jewellery Arabia Show , the exhibition for all those who are passionate about jewelry and the  finest  watches. I've heard about it before from friends and relatives, but I have never been to it until last week when the uber-chic fashion Blogger Dana of  The Overdressed , invited me to visit the exhibition in Bahrain. So on Wednesday Dana picked me up from my hotel and drove to Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Center, where  Jewellery Arabia Show  is currently being held (last day is this Saturday). The exhibition is HUUUGE! 15,000 square meter of space to roam around, and it feature over 600 exhibitors from 30 nations, and it is spread on 3 huge halls. I only managed to go to Hall one and Hall two, where you will see world renowned watches and jewelry European and Asian brands. Some of the pieces on display felt as if they were  waiting for me to drool, gaze and even try on. Here's a quick look of just a few of the many many pieces I fell in love with.  So if you have
