Under the Sea

I love the beach and dream of a home on the beach, clean one please where no sewage or factories waste gets thrown in it, where I can live and hear the sound of the waves crashing and smell the salt in the air and on my hair. So when I saw these sea-inspired home accessories at Zara Home the other day, I wanted to buy them all and redecorate my TV room pronto! The rustic and sea-inspired decor pieces bring the beach inside your home in a subtle and shabby chic way. There were so many nice things at Zara Home ! I rarely get to window shop/shop there mainly because of its location, I wish it was located somewhere more remote like Al Tilal Complex, more quiet and easy to access. I  really really hate the Avenues (how ironic I know! but I do!). All that crowd, all that noise, and ALL THAT SMOKE! Anyhow, enjoy the pics...

Stephane Rolland Spring Summer 2015 Haute Couture collection

Stephane Rolland went for new silhouettes for his Spring Summer 2015 Haute Couture collection. Everything seems floaty and weightless. Think transparent gauze embroidered with beautiful details and latex or lacquered lace. Black, white and terracottas are the colour codes reinforced by rays of siliconed gold and silver powder. This collection makes such a sumptuous summer all in luminosity and airness. Scroll down for some of my favorite pieces of the collection.

I Heart Kuwait

Happy National and Liberation Day everyone! May Kuwait always stays safe, prosperous, and liberated. xoxo

COACH X BASEMAN

Coach enlisted California artist and animator Gary Baseman's original drawings of darkly playful "creatures" who inhabit the Coach girl's belongings with a rebellious sense of mischief, like this quirky cool/creepy blindfolded bunny. Of course the clutches and the bag charms which I was planning on getting are sold out! Bummer! Take a closer look of the collaberated collection by clicking here .

Cinderelly, Cinderelly…. Shoes!

In celebration of the release of Disney’s live action film inspired by the classic fairy tale “ Cinderella ,” Disney Consumer Products (DCP) has collaborated with nine luxury designer shoe brands across the globe to assemble an enchanting collection of shoes that re-imagine Cinderella’s iconic glass slipper. The distinguished designers, in alphabetical order, are: Paul Andrew , Alexandre Birman , Rene Caovilla , Jimmy Choo , Salvatore Ferragamo , Nicholas Kirkwood , Charlotte Olympia , Jerome C. Rousseau , and Stuart Weitzman . Each brand has created its own interpretation of the famed glass slipper Cinderella accidentally leaves behind when the clock strikes midnight. The shoes will exclusively be displayed at Level Shoe District in Dubai ,  from March 11th to the 24th. I personally find Charlotte Olympia's   Cinderelly heels are the most appealing design to me, minus the platform detail, the platform makes them look borderline tacky. Jimmy Choo's version would

Celine.. My Endless Love

Ever hear that accessories are what makes an outfit? Pretty much every other post here! Do I sould like a broken record? I know but I just can't help it, I really do LOVE Celine and its bags selection! It's easy to focus on all the clothes on display at the brand's store in Prestige , but hellooo , did you get a look at all those jaw-dropping handbags? Even the canvas striped Luggage bag shown above, which got a lot of negative feedback on instagram, or at least that's what i have noticed, is such a game-changer, not to mention the fact that it's just straight-up stunning to look at. And the Celine Cabas comes in a new smaller size 9shown below) AND a long strap to wear it as a cross bag! How cool is that?! And let's not forget my endless love to the Nano bag, which comes in a beautiful color combination for Resort 2015. I had to squeeze in some shoes too for good measure. Check 'em out, and let me know your favorite piece in the comments section!

Quirky Cool Fendi

I always remember Fendi for it's two F's, fabulous fur and fantastic footwear. No other design house master these two categories quite like Fendi . Aside from those wonderful Fendi pieces, I have to admit that I'm just as pumped to get a look at it's bags selection, even if I don't end up buying. To me there's always a surprise element to Fendi 's designs…and I don't know about you, but I love surprises. When I passed by the boutique the other day, the selection on display did not disappoint. The handbags were loaded with funky and artistic embellishments and quirky cool designs. And the return of the baguette makes me really weak in the knees with all that beauty surrounding me. I also fell in love with a pair of leather sandals with bird-like prints, might end up getting those since the pinkish-nude sandals would work well with my Summer wardrobe. Take a scroll here to view some of my favorite picks from Fendi this season.

House of Holland X Mr. Men

Your mini-me would look the coolest kid in town with House of Holland's latest collaborated collection: House of Holland kids x Mr. Men . I spotted the collection at Harvey Nichols Kuwait and the collection features the much loved characters of Mr. Men, and a cool new charterer based on Henry Holland himself called Mr Quiffy . And that's not all, you can actually match up with your daugher/son too with THIS women's collection by the brand.

Outfit of the Day

Slow and Steady Wins the Race . Yup, that's the name of the brand of my detached sleeves sweat top which i bought from Net-a-Porter's Finds section. What I love about it is that it can be worn two different ways, the sleeves can be tied around the waist so it looks like a sleeveless top, which makes it perfect to wear under trench coats and blazers, and you ca wear the sleeves so you'll have that cut-out/slashed shoulders look. I really love the creativity of this brand! I remember several years back I bought a handbag from the same brand and even featured it on my blog here .  I paired it with my light trench coat from the Gap , my TopShop cropped jeans, and my Comme des Garçons hologram purse.

Event: Alwan Live Art Festival

Kuwait-based art portal Visual Therapy , which is created by Shahad Bishara out of a passion for art and design, is bringing back Alwan , Kuwait’s first live art festival on Friday March 6th 2015 at Marina Crescent. The festival will feature an exciting program of live art, music and performances, and art activities for both adults and kids. I think this should be a fun day full of live art, music, shopping, and more. Not to be missed! Follow @alwanfestival and stay tuned for more details!

Outfit of the Day

Every time I take a look at my Outfit of the Day photos I cringe! So I try to post them as soon as possible before I change my mind. Here I'm wearing a David Szeto Cunningham red wool shirt skirt (you can find it on sale here ), I loved it because it has a tie-front sleeve detail. I chose to pair the skirt with a Breton top from the GAP , a distressed denim jacket from Paige Denim (find it online here ), my Celine fringed sneakers, and my beloved Paula Cademartori shoulder bag. Casual and compfy.

In My Closet: Acne Studios striped

Man I look so grumpy here! Why the sad face?!! I probably wasn't too impressed with the selection at Aïshti at the Avenues and decided to take a semi-selfie of my favorite Acne Studios piece . A one-piece striped stole. The design is like nothing I've seen before! Mind you though, it's not the most practical, I feel like my shoulders are tied while walking, but it's all good, as long as it adds that chic flair to my outfit. You can view a better photo of this piece here .

H&M STUDIO SS15 - Press Preview

I was invited to preview the H&M STUDIO SS15 women and men’s collections at the H&M Showroom in Grand Avenue. The collection is very relaxed, chic, and and has Miami vibes all over it. Think palm trees, flamingo prints, sun and the beautiful lifestyle of Miami. The collection consists of silk pyjamas, masculine stripes, v-neck sweater, comfy caftans, and more. I haven't had the chance to properly view the men’s collection, but I'm sure there are some pieces of this collection can also be worn by women, as it the case in previous collections by the brand. What was also cute at the press preview was that we had a complimentary manicure with cute flamingos decorating it. Check out the photo below. You can properly view the collection by clicking here . The collection will be available at H&M Kuwait on March 12th.

Paula Cademartori

Ever since I bought this Paula Cademartori  bag from FarFetch.com last season, and I literally carry it almost every single day. The obsession spread like a fever in my family, and my sister bought a different color version of my Paula Cademartori 'Petite Faye' shoulder bag. What I love about it is that it has so many compartments to fit my junk in, so they're easy to access and locate. Plus, it's not as heavy as most should bags being made by other designers. Another reason why I bought this specific style is that the details of the leather work and the color combination are just beyond amazing! I've never seen such details work for a price tag that won't break the bank! I'm sure the brand will hike up their prices in a season or two, once they see the demand on the bag. Let's see the longevity of it though...

Hot Stuff

In a perfect world, where I'd have the perfect body that would make Brazilian bombshell Izabel Goulart green with envy, I'd wear these beautifully embellished and brightly-colored embroidered shorts, but slightly longer as these are way too short for my taste, and I'd pair them with a chic trapeze top with cut-out shoulders, and walk along the beaches of the French Riviera. I spotted these hot shorts at Aishti in the Avenues and I have no clue what the brand is. They just looked very cool and dream-worthy. And that's as good as it gets.  Please do share the name of the brand if you know by who. Merci.
