Shopped Till I Dropped

When traveling, I take shopping as a mission that needs to be accomplished with perfection (yes, THAT bad!). I had already planned my shopping routes weeks in advance. I had 4 sectors to cover: Midtown, Upper East Side, Soho, and Meatpacking District. Armed with my 4 Cs : cash, cards, converse, and comfy clothes, I started with 5th avenue as it was a few blocks away from the hotel. My first stop was Bergdorf Goodman , the window displays had " An Extreme Beauty in Vogue " theme/gallery. Needless to say that the displays were breathtaking. Bergdrof is definitely my all time favorite 2nd place to shop in NYC (1st is Barneys). Almost all of my favorite brands under one roof, it doesn't get any better than that. Especially if you don't have time to visit every designer's boutique. Plus I believe they have the best selection of beauty products, jewels, and accessories. Let's take a look at the dramatic window displays of BG. Loved the Dolce & Gabbana animal

Something For Everyone

Unless you're blessed with a super model figure, some brands are just not meant for us regular planet earth people. Ahem.. I'm referring to body shapes here not super model pay cheques. Example, Jennifer Hudson and Balmain don't mix well. However, Bodyamr's Spring/Summer collection could be the answer to all body shapes. BodyAmr's latest collection has something for every taste and shape. He has gone short, long, draped, ruched, twisted, edgy, fitted, loose, grecian, black, pastel, deluxe, and simply glamorous. And I loved them all. Here are my favorite looks of BodyAmr s/s 2010. You can view more here .

Autumn in New York

OK, I have so many things to share with you that I don't even know from where to begin! I stayed at the most stylish and tallest boutique hotel in the heart of Manhattan, The London NYC . The service was impeccable and you don't need to worry about bookings of any kind because with their internationally renowned concierge department, Quintessentially , you'll have access to any venue you wish to go to. And what appealed to me the most is the fact that it has the first Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the states (YUM!). I took some photos of the room, but they don't do the place justice. So click here for their official website photos. After a long flight from London to the other London (NYC), a fashionista needs a "blissful" experience to unwind and re-energize for loooong shopping sprees ahead. For a change of view and to try out new places, I had breakfast a couple of times at " Cafe Metro " which is located just around the corner from the hotel. They

Remember This Name

This season we all want shoes with a subtle injection of punk attitude to channel our inner rock chic-ness. I was honored to be introduced to a new shoe designer that translates punk-rock-chic beautifully. His name is: Abel Muñoz . Inspired by fashion and a lifetime interest in accessories, Abel studied shoe design at the world renowned ARS Arpel Institute of Shoe and Accessory design in Milan. Upon graduation, he returned to his home base of Toronto to continue to develop his skills as an accessories designer. His handmade collections are influenced by time spent at a number of ateliers in Milan and the artisinal work of shoe designers in the 1930s and 1940s prior to the introduction of worldwide mass industrial production. His current elegant, ladylike collection is made entarily in Italy and focuses on the highest standard of quality materials. The impeccable construction, workmanship and in-depth attention to detail is unparalleled. The 2009 Abel Muñoz collection was showcased at T

Burberry With a Twist

Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010 womenswear collection was the BEST collection I have seen so far from the fashion house. The classic trench was given a major twisted, new, young, and edgy attitude. Everything seemed to be tied and twised in a lovely pastel colored twist. The knotted epaulette shoulders, loop knot dresses, braided bodice dresses, and reef knot skirts. And here are my favorite looks.
