Etoile by Isabel Marant launches at NET-A-PORTER.COM on 23rd June

Following the overwhelming success of Isabel Marant’s mainline, NET-A-PORTER.COM has picked up Etoile by Isabel Marant for FW2010 and it will be launched this coming Wednesday 23rd June. I'm eyeing this sooo on-trend denim jumpsuit.

Parisian designer Isabel Marant launched her second line, Etoile Isabel Marant in 2000. The go-to label for easy Rive Gauche chic, Marant's designs blend relaxed tailoring with bohemian detailing - an unbeatable recipe that has won her fans the world over, from Chloe Sevigny to Diane Kruger. From printed tea dresses to military-style khaki parkas, each piece possesses the same sexy, downtown feel as Marant's main line but at an even more accessible price point (prices range from KD75 - KD 280).

For fall NET-A-PORTER has bought soft plaid shirts and army green parkas, bohemian printed dresses and blouses, sexy black separates and statement bold shoulder jackets. There are some great knitwear-as-outerwear pieces too.

I actually find some pieces quite interesting like the denim jumpsuit and some are practical for everyday errands. I agree, the brand's designs are nothing out of the ordinary and probably that's why fashion media all of a sudden started to focus on this brand when the world got hit by the recession. The majority of people started to shop for "safe" and classic pieces that stand the test of time and Isabel fit the criteria perfectly.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
