Glitter and Lace


Let’s start with the good news, the latest TopShop capsule collection from the fashion-forward brand Meadham Kirchhoff is now available at TopShop store in the Avenues.  The bad news? I have seen the entire collection at TopShop Knightsbridge so I was expecting to see the same over here. Unfortunately, only 5 items were on display. I’m not sure if they were sold out already or Kuwait only received quarter of the collection. Anyhow, it’s worth to check it out.  The collection of delicately whimsical and deconstructed layered lace dresses, skirts, and glitter-spot decorated t-shirts in peachy nude, navy and black.  I find the collection to be more suitable for Fall than Summer where you get to wear opaque tights with the sheer dresses/skirts.

So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... Winner of the Best Women's Magazine and Magazine of the Year award for 2005, the magazine reportedly has over 14 million readers worldwide with 26 editions in 13 languages across the world. Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
