Happy Halloween!

Wishing you all a very happy Halloween! What did you end up dressing as? This year I focused on my kids costume and I ended up wearing a boring hairband as a costume. My boys looked amazing though! A Scarecrow and a skeleton! Will try to share a photo soon.

Statement Necklace that won't break the bank!

Found a really nice statement necklace that won't break the bank! Spotted this greenish beaded necklace at Weekend by Maxmara at The Avenues the other day and it was selling for KD 35 only. The beauty of it, is that it can be worn as a belt, wrapped around your neck in a cute knot, or simply have it dangling on your neck. Just what a frugal girl needs to give an outfit an instant upgrade.

Fur Fever!

I can’t help myself… I love fur (faux and real!). The chicest and easiest way to dress up your any boring coat, knitted top, or jacket. I just spotted this half striped and half bright fox fur collar at Weekend by Maxmara and it was selling for KD 77 ONLY! A bargain I would say! I truly felt like it was calling my name. I just may have to have it. It comes in variety of colors, which would make this a perfect fit for whatever you wear.

Mamas & Papas x Liberty London in Kuwait!

I was looking for a gift for my relative's new born when I came across this super cool and exclusive collaborated collection from Liberty London for Mamas and Papas , at the brand's store in the Avenues Phase II. The collection included a range of strollers, clothes, and accessories completely decorated with Liberty’s striking prints; bold designs that let you stroll around in style. Needless to say I ended up buying the gift from this selection, one lucky stylish baby, ha?

Event: Peace of Art Exhibition

I found out about the Peace of Art exhibition by coincidence while doing my regular walks at AlShaheed Park . The exhibition is organized by LOYAC Kuwait , a nonprofit organization working towards the overall development of youth within our region and to empower them through unique opportunities to evolve into highly humane effective citizens. LOYAC is re-purposing oil barrels into seats that are going to be showcased throughout various venues in all of Kuwait’s governorates. The intention behind using oil barrels is to highlight the nation’s most prized asset, as a symbol of peace and contribution, further underlining Kuwait’s role as an advocate of humanitarian initiatives, activities and breakthroughs. I was impressed by how organized the exhibition was and by the work of some of the participants/artists. My favorite barrel was this beautiful piece, shown in the first photo above, designed and painted by Ibrahim Habib who is a devoted fine arts educator. According to his

Outfit of the Day

I must apologize for the radio silence! I haven't posted in quite sometime. Having a full-time job and raising kids ain't easy! So I'm glad I managed to steal some time off to update my beloved blog. I'm more active on instagram ( @confashions ) nowadays I guess! Anyhow, here's a quick outfit of the day post. I took this photo right after work. I was wearing a Roksanda flared short-sleeves jacket, decorated it with a tiny ecru alphabet brooch, paired the jacket with Roksanda's striped top, TopShop's cropped blue pants, and Giambattista Valli's embellished pointy flats from AlOthman Boutique .

Outfit of the Day

Yup. I'm still wearing my caftans, mainly for our Friday's family gatherings. this week chose to wear my Kristella kaftan by C&M , the lower line for Australian brand CAMILLA AND MARC . I'm not sure if it's visible in this photo but if you look closely at the sleeves, you'll notice this huge knotted detail which I found unique and adds a modern detail to the basic striped Moroccan-inspired oversized silhouette. I paired it with my J. crew woven straw flats and layered beaded necklaces.

Outfit of the Day

Boxy crochet fringed top from Melange Boutique paired with loose black culottes from TopShop , the perfect combination for a bloated-and-need-comfy-clothes kind of day. Finished the look with pointy flat slides and multi-layered necklaces.

LEO Studio Design

I just got to know about this quirky-cool Italian brand called LEO Studio Design while browsing the selection at Harvey Nichols Kuwait . I love pieces with quirky flavor, but I know how I'll feel about them after a couple of months. I'll be like "What the hell was I thinking?!". HOWEVER! if the price points are not breaking the bank then there is no harm, right? I thought so too! So not only I loved the embroidery detail on the bags and shoes, but also their price tags! The shoes were selling for KD 53 only?!! Not bad at all! And the backpack was selling for 60 something?? I think I'm sold on this one! Scroll down to check out the other styles.

Mesmerized by Mélange

The award of the boutique with the best selection of hairbands and hair accessories has to go to Mélange in Burj Jassim! If the name sounds familiar, it's because the boutique used to be in 360 Mall and it has recently moved to Burj Jassim in Kuwait City. I was quite impressed with the selection they had in store! Think Eugenia Kim leather hairbands with gigantic knotted details, golden 3D florals and leaves beautifully intertwined to create the prettiest crowns and hair brooches, and Jennifer Behr's handcrafted pieces mixed with sparkling Swarovski crystals on an intricate metalwork. I also loved their statement necklaces selection, very vintage-like and reminded me of the glorious 80's obsession with chain necklaces and pearls. Scroll down for more eye-candy!
