The Baroness

When I first received this image by e-mail of this whimsy ivory colored dress with a cute little black bow decorating the V-back dress, I was eager to find out more about the person behind these sweet yet simple designs.  Allow me to introduce you to Baron Oh.

Baron was born in Seoul, South Korea. She remembers making her first skirt when she was 5 years old sitting by her grandmother, her greatest inspiration, who dedicated 50 years of her life creating the Hanbok Korean traditional costume, making them for Korea's most beloved first lady, Ms. Yook, who was well known for her elegance and class.

She has lived in New York, Milan and Rome and currently living in London.  Baron studied fashion design and business in University; she has also acquired her MBA at one of the most prestigious Universities in Europe, SDA Bocconi in Milan. In 2005, she has moved to Rome and worked for FENDI in Marketing and Commercial department for four years. Having lived in a world of creation across the globe, she wanted to combine the beauty and the structure in modern women's wear with traditional oriental art and handicraft such as traditional hand golden printing, hand-dyed silk and hand-embroider. Baron had launched her first collection at 2009 FW Paris fashion week.
