Shop for a Good Cause

Yesterday I passed by a charity event that was held by Help Your Muslim Brother committee, part of International Islamic Charitable Organization. The public event is held at the Sheraton Hotel until tomorrow if my memory serves me right. You will find stuff like home accessories, bedding, caftans for women and little girls, Al Faris Jewelry, fashion accessories, home-baked food, and other nicknacks.

I was very impressed by the quality of these locally made bedsets

I'm not sure if these mirrors were actually designed by Nada Debs or "inspired" by her work, but they really look very nice. Price tag? KD 250 each.

I like how Al Faris Jewelry layered 4 different necklaces on one stand. They look so pretty worn all together. If money was not an object....

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
