Miroslava Duma Collaboration With Boutique 1‏

A few weeks ago I was invited to Boutique 1's celebration of International Women's Day and the launch of its new SS12 collection. The boutique collaborated with Miroslava Duma, a former Harpers Bazaar Russia editor and now freelance writer and fashion guru, to host the VIP fashion party at its flagship store on The Walk at JBR. Unfortunately I was unable to attend due to prior commitments. But here are some photos of the event. You can view them all by clicking here.

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
