Or at least I think I've covered it all! And today is my last post about my trip to France, yes you can all breathe a sigh of relief. And what better way to wrap-up the posts other than with a mixture of scenes and info about Monte Carlo/Monaco. Let's start with the shopping. Of course, all the high-end boutiques are within reach, Celine, Prada, Hermes... blah blah blah. Now on to the more interesting find, I discovered this cute multi-brand store called Work in Progress located at 19 Boulevard des Moulins. Although WIP is small in space, it has a well-curated selection of on-trend clothes and accessories think Rick Owens, Maison Martin Margiela, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Marios Schwab, Proenza Schouler, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Balmain to name a few. They do offer online shopping too but for some reason most of the items are from previous seasons and are NOT on sale. You can check it out here.
As for where to dine:
- Beef Bar was recommended by sister, the atmosphere is laid back, nice crowd, but the staff are a bit snobby. We enjoyed the food though and it overlooks a small port so the scene at night is amazing. Luckily for us we managed to get a table without reservation.
- Joel Robuchon, located at Hotel Metropole. French cuisine at its best. This is the place to go to for a fancy dinner. Reservations is a must though.
- If you couldn't find a reservation at Joel Robuchon, try Louis XV located at Hotel de Paris, very very fancy and lavish. Anyone who goes there should be dressed to the nines and make sure you reserve a table at least 2 weeks in advance!
- Yoshi, we tried it the last time we have been there which is almost 5 years ago, it's nice for a quiet dinner, the crowd is young and hip, apparently it's still hip and was highly recommended by our concierge. But we opted out to try something new...
Those Prada vests are killing me!
We came across this home accessories and carpets boutique called Fashion for Floors? It seems that this place is the French Riviera version of Samovar.
On the Other hand, the Rolls-Royce and Bentley's in this town are like the Camry's and Corolla's in K-town! Parked in every corner and seen on every street.
The views are picture perfect.
