Major Sneak Peek of Project OC

So by now I'm pretty sure you have an idea of what Project OC is all about, that was a no brainer. And today I'll be sharing with you more behind-the-scenes photos of my styling for AlOthman Outlet's photoshoot, the ultimate online and offline destination to snap up discounted designer women's clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories by the hottest labels in fashion right now – think Roland Mouret, Erdem, Oscar de la Renta, Giambattista Valli, Nicholas Kirkwood, Pierre Hardy, and more.

My task was to come up with different looks to be seen in this season, taking into consideration Fall's trends and at the same time highlighting how these clothes and shoes can really stand the test of time, which means more value for your money. Plus showing you that sometimes you don't have to break the bank to look chic. Take for example this STUNNING velvet skirt with geometric gold leather and black detail throughout by Diane Von Furstenberg selling for KD 49.500 ONLY! I'm telling ya! Crazy bargain!!

This was definitely one of the most fun styling jobs I have ever done, because a) I had  the flexibility of choosing items from a list of at least 100+ designer brands, which gave me more options to style, and b) AlOthman Outlet girls were so amazing, supportive, and fun to work with. They didn't hesitate for a second to help me dress up the model and offer some tips. And speaking of the model, she was a bliss working with. I did stand on the chair at one point to put on the necklace.. yup.. that tall mashallah. I really can't wait to see the end results of the photoshoot. The art direction was entirly done by AlOthman girls, so I'm sure the results will be nothing less than amazing.

And by the way, not all items available in store are available online and vice versa. So you will need to check both. The Offline store is located at Mariam Complex in Salmiya. For any further inquiries, you can click here.

Nicholas Kirkwood wedge heels and they're on discount too, what more can a shoesaholic ask for? Get them here.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
