Video: Settle Down

This song by New Zealand singer/songwriter Kimbra has to be the perfect theme song for New York's Bridal Fashion Week. I listened to it a zillion time! Her voice is just so full of emotions and so beautiful. However, the video has a little mix of creepy and cool. I think it's trying to showcase how, as little girls, most of us dreamed of getting married, having kids, and settling down. Just like barbie and Ken? Thoughts?

You're different.. and I mean it in a good way :)
I should have made it clear that as little girls some of us were brainwashed into believing that getting married and having kids is the only thing you need to achieve in life. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but it's also important to focus on other aspects in one's life like education and career.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
