Confashion Hearts AlOthman

You know when you catch the good vibes just by being around great company in a beautiful setting? That's how I exactly felt last night. Alothman Boutique hosted a very special private viewing and shopping event for Confashions from Kuwait, where guests got to admire and have a first look at some of the beautiful creations designed by Victoria Beckham.  I still remember when Victoria, who turned 38 two days ago, was just a Posh Spice. Who would have thought that she'd become one of the most renowned fashion designers.

Beautifully set up by the lovely AlOthman team, a section of the store was closed with screens to display the designer's 3 lines: Victoria Beckham which is known for its extremely elegant and well-fitted formal dresses and evening gowns, Victoria by Victoria Beckham the more affordable line more famous for its cute cat print casual chic dresses and party dresses, and finally her line of beautifully structured Bags, which sold out within minutes when they first debuted online a season ago I think. The place was superbly decorated with fresh bouquets and flower-like decorations in the prettiest shades of pink. Cute kitty cupcakes were also served to make the event even more sweeter. It was a fun experience shopping with my loved ones, socializing, trying on clothes, enjoying the sweet little treats, and simply having a great time.

A massive thank you goes to Alothman Boutique and its super sweet team for all their efforts and for making last night a memorable one.

I couldn't resist not buying one of the cute kitty dresses! So adorable!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Claire Kuwait

Did you know that Marie Claire, an international women's magazine, has been launched in Kuwait and their second issue is already in newsstands? Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. The magazine offers an editorial mix of journalism with glamour, fashion and beauty coverage, and feature stories of lifestyle and serious women related issues. All by an Arabic editorial team. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
