Christian Louboutin Exhibition in Dubai

While shopping around Dubai Mall, I passed by Christian Louboutin's  Exhibition, which was open to the public, in celebration of the brand's 20th Anniversary. Wow! 20 years?! Amazing! I only came to know about the brand in 99 I think, when I saw Carrie Bradshaw wearing a pair of pink satin sandals with a cute little bow. I fell in love with them immediately and got all excited when I found them at Gerard Darel boutique way back when it was located at Salhiya Complex, they didn't have the pink ones in my size, so I settled for the same style but in black. I'll share a photo of them soon.

Anyhow, the brand's boutique in Dubai also had a 20th anniversary limited edition capsule collection, offering loyal Louboutin clients the opportunity to own twenty of his most unforgettable styles, chosen by Louboutin from his vast archive. Each iconic re-issued style within this edited collection has been carefully updated to fuse the spirit of the original of style with modern tastes.Check out the shoes that were on display at the exhibition.

Escandria from the A/W 2010-2011 collection.

Let Me Tell You peep-toe ankle boots from the designer's A/W 2009 collection
The Trash Mule from the S/S 1999 collection

Pensee from the S/S 1993...  I didn't even know the brand existed at that time.

And the more recent ones...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
