Just Like Stella


Whether we like it or not, Zara does pretty good reinterpretation of runway looks. And this time, Zara has plundered Stella McCartney's chunky knitted jacket for its new season, playing around with the button placements. I noticed other designer inspired items at Zara this season taking its cue from Céline, Chloé, and Marc Jacobs. A good season for fashionistas on a budget or for those who do not want to spend a lot of money on seasonal clothes.

I just watched this TED talk on creativity and the fashion industry and how they don't have copyright protection so anyone can copy anything. It was really interesting.

So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking.
