For Your Next Weekend Getaway

Finding a multi-brand boutique that stocks some of my favorite brands and it’s just a click (or an hour flight) away, is such a delightful discovery. I have just been introduced to Mimosa, a Bahrain-based multi-brand boutique that carries contemporary clothing and accessories brands from around the globe.

Mimosa is the brainchild of half Bahraini and half Spanish entrepreneur Mariam Mahmood who has studied interior design and marketing but have always been passionate about  fashion. “My dad never wanted me to study fashion but instead something more diverse to have something to fall back on just in case I change my mind, After a year of being back home in Bahrain, I realized that we lacked trendy boutiques that carried young and trendy designers, especially those from the US”, said Mariam. And after Mariam’s successful first trip to NY fashion week in April 2006, her  first foray into retail was born.

Expect a supremely well-curated array of picks from labels like Notte by Marchesa, Rebecca Taylor, Alice+ Olivia, Robert rodriguez, Robbi and Nikki, Beyond vintage, Jay lane, Elizabeth Cole, Gerard Yosca, Yoana Baraschi, Tibi and many more.  Mimosa also has a vintage section which features rare and hard-to-fine pieces from Kenneth Jay Lane from 70's and 80's, Givenchy, and loads of others.

Mimosa Boutique can deliver to Kuwait and worldwide! And the best way for you to know what’s available now in-store is to view their items through their frequently updated facebook page.

Mimosa Boutique is located in Bahrain’s Al Aali Mall, 1st floor. For any inquiries, please call (+973) 1758-7883. Or you can send an e-mail to mimosabahrain@gmail.com.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
