Retail Theatre... From Runway to Reality

Burberry unveils Retail Theatre concept in 25 flagship stores worldwide enabling simultaneouse online and exclusive purchase in-store events during livestream of Womenswear S/S 2011 show.

“We are really excited to be launching 'Burberry Retail Theatre' enabling the first ever live simultaneous virtual trunk shows in our stores globally. This concept allows us to broadcast our multi faceted content all over the world, directly to our stores, creating a modern and pure brand environment. Customers at the exclusive in-store digital events will experience the clothes, the music, the energy and the atmosphere in real time and have the unique opportunity to receive their orders in just 7 weeks, (further ahead of luxury industry delivery times)“ Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer.

'Burberry Retail Theatre' will broadcast the brand’s Spring Summer 2011 womenswear show livestream directly into 25 flagship stores worldwide (Yes Dubai too!), creating live simultaneous virtual trunk show events on 21 September 2010.

I don't think I have ever witnessed a fashion brand re-shaping the way consumers engage with the brands as much as Burberry does. The way Christopher Bailey comes up with such astonishing ideas using cutting edge technologies is simply amazing.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
