Exclusive: Watch Burberry S/S 2011 Show on Confashions!


If you're following my tweets @Confashion, you'd know that I have some big news to share. I am utterly honored, overexcited, and beyond thrilled to announce that Burberry has selected my blog Confashions From Kuwait as one of the partnering websites to live stream Burberry Prorsum SS11 womenswear show taking place this Tuesday 21 September in London 4PM (London time). (Somebody please pinch me, I need a reality check!) And that’s not only it! You will also get to see pre-show footage live right here on Confashions! How cool is that?! THANK YOU Burberry!

So what does Burberry have up its sleeve? Let me count the ways…
  • Viewers all over world will be able to watch the show live at Burberry.com, through mobile, iPads and iPhones and at over 300 global online news, blogs, and fashion websites bringing the Burberry show and collection to its widest audience yet.
  • Online viewers will be able to watch and comment in real time using their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
  • The show will also be livestreamed during events in custom designed, digitally charged Retail Theatres in 25 Burberry flagship stores worldwide where guests will be able to place orders straight from the runway through a custom-built Burberry iPad application
  • Customers at the in-store events and online will be able to order the widest assortment from the brand since it developed the 'Runway to Reality' concept, including outerwear, bags and Burberry Beauty
  • Orders can be placed exclusively for one week and will be delivered within 7 weeks of the order - revolutionising standard luxury industry delivery times
  • Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey has taken over the Burberry Twitter account for the first time sharing personal insight as he prepares for the womenswear show. Follow his tweets here.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website.
