I'm not a Plastic Bag Wannabe

Well well well.. look who's not plastic (nor paper) now. Inspired by Anya Hindmarch's bag, Ron Herman has caught the Eco-products & environmentally friendly bug. They are offering a new "I'm a Ron Herman bag" for free with any purchase of $100 or more. I didn't feel as excited about this bag as I did for the Anya Hindmarch one.

On a different note, you will instantly fall in love with Ron Herman's online shopping site (I know it's not webby Wednesday, but I had to mention it!). You'll find stuff from CC Skye, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Malene Birger, Marc Jacobs, Nina Ricci, and Milly to name a few.

She's a British accessories designer known mostly for her leather handbags. And got really famous for he "Be a Bag" bag and the "I'm not a plastic bag".. bag! :)

I couldn't care less if I am not seen with an Anya Hindmarch bag but a silk sadhu bag I must have every which way I go. I guess that's the hippie influence talking not me. Anyway about two summers back I came to adore these recycled Conserve handbags made by ragpickers from Delhi that most women in Chelsea and Knightsbridge would carry on them to the theatre, the pub and on social outings. They were such a rage back then, I was almost caught up in a fashion melee myself over these bags in a High Street Ken store : not very Sloane Square but still not exactly Liverpool Street, either.
