And In The News: Shopping for Fall

Villa Moda Shuwaikh has received new deliveries for Gucci, Prada Sport, Miu Miu, and Marni. Wouldn't it be nice if we could shop for those new items online? I don't feel like shopping in this dusty weather.

the good thing about online shopping is u get the item for nafs si3rah il 9ijy.. i mean in kuwait most of the shops sell the same item with a higher price..

I prefer to browse online, and if I like something go to the store, and inspect it. If it still looks as apealing as it did online, I will fit it on and if it suits me, buy it.
I prefer to shop this way as interaction with rude and pushy salespeople is kept to a minimum.

I love the shopping online.. i hate the crowds in shopping malls and waiting a long time in line to pay for only 1 piece and waiting forever for a space in the changing room.. also when browsing a shop i might miss a great piece here or there,, online i can guarantee i saw them all :)

I also hate shopping alone.. Anyone looking for a shopping buddy? :)

Yeah I agree with you in most cases. Especially when it comes to items at Villa Moda, you can really feel the difference in the prices.

I like online shopping when I'm not in the mood to go out or when the stores are already closed. :)

May I add looking for a parking spot? :\

I didn't know that there was a price difference with the stuff sold @ Villa Moda. I just assumed that they sold at the recommended retail price.
Approximately how much more expensive is the stuff at Villa Moda vs online. What about other stores in Kuwait?
Confashion, I see a future 'investigative journalism' post for you. ;-)

lol.. that's a nice idea to post about.thanks ;)

Well, for example, an X bag that is sold at net-a-porter.com is 100KD cheaper than the exact same bag sold at Villa Moda.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
