Whistles Pre-Fall Collection at Al Raya

I remember back in the days, I used to be a huge fan of Whistles. Then suddenly, i stopped shopping at Whistles when it went for the grannie look. I think the guys at Whistles realized that they are not doing well, so they started producing stylish items. Now, I find their collection impressive. Their style is not too edgy, so it still manages to retain elegance and trendiness at the same time.
They have just released their pre-fall collection and it is available at their store in Al Raya Complex. Pictured above are some of the items that I really liked:
  • White tunic Chloe-inspired dress with white embellishment. KD 47. (My favourite)
  • Yellow cardigan with lace trimming. KD 20.
  • Purple knitted top with peter pan collar. KD 31.
  • Navy crochet top with white crochet trimming. KD 41.
  • White Jackie-O style cropped jacket. KD 71.

Good luck Shopping!

what i don't like about whistles is that they always sell winter clothes! even in the middest of shahar 6!!
most of the material they use is heavy and doesn't suit our weather

Really? I didn't notice that! But I do agree with you that their wintery stuff are too heavy for our not so wintery weather :)

Considering how fashion forward Kuwait generally, is compared with the rest of the GCC it is appalling there should not be any high end fashion stores here catering to the local GLBT crowd.
Am just a little bi-curious myself to know if the Pink Moon boutique here would cater only to that niche segment, or what? And where do drag queens in Kuwait source their outfits from for the annual Gay Pride parade in Mubarakiya?
Equally, how involved are local fashion boutiques designing apparel for Kuwait based airlines and for the KWPD. And do coppers here also like to frequent Fashion Police for all their couture need ?

girls of riyadh love boys of tehran
That's interesting. I'm unaware of an annual Gay Pride parade in Mubarakiya. At what time of the year does it usually take place?

As far as I know local fashion boutiques do not offer designing services.

Coppers do need a makeover over here. physically and mentally! ;P

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
