Sale at Villa Moda Mubarikiya

Shame on me. I just found out that Villa Moda Mubarikiya started it's massive 50% sale 10 days ago. So I rushed there to scout out the best of the best. Villa Moda did not disappoint me at all. I liked a lot of their stuff. My heart rate just went up as I was reaching for my MasterCard. Here's my report so that you can relate to what I'm saying. Let's start with the photos above:
  • Who can possibly resist this flirty, colorful, metalic Leulla skirt with a cute little bow on the back? Perfect for Eid or formal events. Was KD 465 and now its KD 232.
  • Anya Hindmarch blue Carker bag. The beauty of this bag is that it has a classic design, which is pretty much hard to beat. Was KD 340, now KD 170. A BARGAIN!
  • Alexander Mcqueen "McQ" plaid bubble skirt for KD 56.500 only. Something that Gwen Stephanie would wear maybe?
  • This animal print top by Diane Von Furstenberg would look perfect with skinny black jeans or, if you're daring, purple colored skinny jeans. I liked the sleeves, their slightly bubblish.
  • I truly fell in love with this chic but simple evening gown by Erica Davies. It's so comfortable and easy to wear, it flows while walking, can be worn for summer & winter weddings, and best of all? It only costs KD 271.
  • Items that I wish they were on sale (but they were not): Juicy Couture Tracksuits, Gina Shoes, and all the evening gowns on the 1st floor.
  • Other items on sale? D&G, Rachel Roy, Leuella bags, Tracy Reese, Juicy Couture Shoes, theory, JLo outerwear... That's all what I can remember for now.

I can safely say that most probably all of your favorites items that you could never find an excuse to buy are finally now on sale, so go get them before someone else does.

I suggest you go there, Juciy Track Suits are not very very cheap, but they are somewhat affordable and they are worth their price.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
