A New Addiction

GASP!!! Is that Rodarte on the window display!?! In K-town?!?! Obviously I have been living under a rock lately, because there is no way this semi-new store have skipped my fashion radars for TWO WHOLE MONTHS!!?  Well actually it's not completely new, you see Al Ostura group has revamped one of their boutiques (the two stories one) located at Thurraya Mall. I think it used to sell one or two brand on the ground floor, (Jean Paul Gaultier and Galliano?) and on the basement, they used to have a mix of old and new stock, you know, the usual Al Ostura display. But now, it's a full-fledged and all new multi-brand boutique. When I first walked in the boutique I was quite amazed at how neatly the stock was displayed! Is that really Al Ostura boutique?! And the brands?? In addition to Rodarte, they're currently stocking Christopher Kane, Meadham Kirchhoff, Jennifer Ouellette hairbands, Giambattista Valli, Giles, Dries Van Noten, Mary Katrantzou, Antonio Berardi, and more! Quite impressive! Me like a lot! Well actually, I loved everything about the boutique and the selection except for... the usual stalkers!!! (aka the sales ladies and their prozac-ish attitude). Here are some of the pieces in-store...

Mary Katrantzou. Price tag? KD 1,200
Antonio Berardi hot pink cocktail dress KD 380

Love the prints on these Giles pieces. They come in a set of silk top with matching pants. The button-down shirt shown below is priced at KD 235

Hello Fluoro!! One of my favorite collections of the season (and the hardest to find online!), Christopher Kane florescent lace dresses. L.O.V.E! Prices range between KD 780 - KD 1,125.

Stunning Kane dress!!! KD 1,280! Kane and Rodarte?! Bye bye savings!
Maxime Simoens gabardine dress decorated with white leather floral details. KD 1,420.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
