Event: Gucci Artisan Corner in Kuwait

Since the company was founded in 1921, Gucci leather goods have been crafted by uniquely skilled artisans in Florence, Italy.

For Gucci’s 90th anniversary, the Artisan Corner brings the House’s talented craftsmen to Kuwait City, where they will showcase their techniques at custom-built workshops inside the Gucci store. As the artisans assemble a selection of iconic Gucci handbags, you will witness first-hand the meticulous attention to detail and superb craftsmanship involved in the production of every item in the Gucci leather goods collection.

For this special event, the hand-crafted products can be personalized with hand-embossed monogramming. The event will be held at the brand's boutique in 360 Mall on Wednesday May 18th from 10:30am‏ to 12:30pm.

When i went there the woman at the door said that you could only enter if you had an invitation and that it was for the italian ambassadors. It's only open to the public tomorrow (thursday)...waste of time -.-

I'm sorry that you had to go through this but this is weird because I did check with the Gucci rep if I could announce the event on my blog to encourage people to attend the event and she immediately agreed! When I asked to PR lady if I could get in inside the store, she didn't mind at all and she only wrote down my name.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
