I've passed by Dar Al Fuoon yesterday to check out an exhibition curated by Simin Dehghani titled Neither Here Nor There. The exhibition brings together the work of Iranian artists Peyman Houshmandzadeh, Nima Alizdeh, Shantia Zakerameli, Adel Younesi, Rosita Sharafjahan, and Afshin Chizari whom each express displacement, culture shock, denial, and other psychological reactions to the environment in which their subjects have suddenly found themselves. My favorite pieces were by Rosita Sharafjahan where she used a series embroidery on printed fabric (shown here below and the first photo). My second favorite pieces were the oil on canvas paintings by Adel Younesi. If you have the time today, go check it out. The event will be on until May 19th.
That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit. After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the Altuzarra sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away. Which pair would you go for?

Of course! :) Thank YOU for sharing :)
Thank you ;) It's such an honor to have a great (and one of my favorite) artists commenting on my blog :)
LOL! The irani's are really talented! And what I love about their artwork is that it's always related to their culture. Unlike most artists in the region where their work is usually borrowed, very creative, but does not stem from within... u know?
