Karl Lagerfeld Magnificent Creation

The moment I saw those Chanel sunglasses in fashion magazines and on the runway, I thought to myself these are definitely "runway" item only. I couldn't see myself wearing them. But after seeing our fashion muse Nicole Richie channeling the Chanel look, I was like damn that girl can pull off anything! Literally! She looks fabulous in those quirky round shaped glasses!

Those sunnies are from Chanel's Spring/Summer 2007 collection. It's sooo unlike Nicole to be 2 seasons late on this trend (gasp!). I'm guessing they're being sold for no less than KD 250.

I want them. I know there is a big possibility that I'll look ridiculous in them and you know what? I couldn't care less. I'm off to look for it in every optician in Kuwait. Wish me luck.

Nicole Seems to wear it EVERYWHERE. In My Personal Opinion She looks like a Bug! It Doesn't Look Good On her.
Well. Go for it If You Like it =D

True.. but the bug look is in :P Once my frd asked me how would she know if her sun glasses are trendy or not, and I told her "if they make you look like a baggah (bug) then you look right on trend". :P

As much as I hate to admit it, I do follow trends but i try hard not to follow a trend that makes me look or feel uncomfortable (mind u, I don't always succeed) :P once I see the trend turns into a uniform.. I quit instantly and start looking for the next trend..

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
