Sitting Front Row at Prabal Gurung's Fashion Show

Yup, you read that right. I was invited to Prabal Gurung's exclusive Fashion Show over the weekend, and yours truly was seated front row, sipping on my chamomile tea and wearing my comfiest jammies. Nope I'm not hallucinating. I was chosen exclusively from the Middle East by M.A.C cosmetics to attend and cover a virtual fashion show where Prabal Gurung presented his first online runway show hosted by KCD Worldwide’s new Digital Fashion Shows platform. This platform is an innovative information delivery system that provides a third way, along with runway shows and presentations, to deliver crucial fashion information to editors, journalists, and retail executives. It provides all the information and materials needed to review, cover and potentially buy the collection, just like a physical show, but each of the invited guests has a front row seat and behind the scenes access at their fingertips. Welcome to the new generation of fashion reporting and buying.

Prabal Gurung showcased his collection for Japanese brand ICB in an online invite-only event. Featured here are some of my favorite looks. I loved how the designer mixed bright hues with structured lines. Looked very uber-chic.

I also liked how the models had an effortless not-so-done approach to beauty. So I checked out the info related to beauty on site and came to know that to achieve that dewy and natural look on the models, the make-up artists used M·A·C Care Blends Essential Oils and M·A·C Prime Future. On the cheekbones the artists used M·A·C Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy was patted onto the centre of the cheeks to give a slight flush appearance as though the model has been out in the cold. To highlight, M·A·C Cream Colour Base in Pearl was gently applied. I need to try these out at the counter myself to see the effect on me. Until then, enjoy the pics....

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
