Shop MAC, Cook MAC

The other day I have received by mail some samples of MAC's Shop MAC, Cook MAC collection for Spring 2012. I also got a copy of their seasonal beauty lookbook filled with the latest beauty trends, beauty tips, and how to achieve the runway look as shown in some of New York, Paris, London, and Milan's biggest designer fashion shows. It gave me some ideas to update my look and experiment with new beauty trends.

The samples, beautifully packaged in clashing colors, included a lipstick, an Eyeshadow Quad, and an orangish lip color/balm. Now honestly speaking, I wasn't a fan of the lip color/balm as I don't like fruity smelling products. But that's just me. For some reason fruity smells give me a headache. But that rich red-blue lipstick, pictured below and called Runaway Red, has got to be one of the best lipsticks I have seen MAC put out for a limited collection in a long time! I immediately fell in love with it. It had that satiny finish and the berry shade really complimented my skin tone. I think Runway Red will be a hit and I definitely recommend it to my readers.

The MAC Shop and Drop Eyeshadow Quad was quite nice too. I'm not sure how I'm going to use the pale pink shade, maybe use it as a base or blend it with other colors? I don't know... however the other 3 shades are more interesting and probably easier to use, in my case at least.

I'm not sure when this collection will be available in Kuwait. But I'm interested to test the other 32 products included in MAC's Shop MAC, Cook MAC collection.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
