Rupert Sanderson is proud to present, exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman in the States, his quirky collection of flat, lace up shoes, more commonly known as Saddled Oxfords – the shoes originally worn by the fashionistas of the 1920s and 1930s. The classical and slightly bookish cool of the Saddled Oxford chimes with Rupert Sanderson’s thoughts on good design. Originally, the Saddled Oxford was developed as a golfing shoe in the early 1910’s. By the 1950’s they were hugely popular in the USA and have now become something of an iconic shoe, worn by Hollywood royalty and college kids alike. Nowadays the shoe has a certain irony and optimism that makes it sit perfectly in today’s society.
Rupert Sanderson has always loved this style and in fact owns a number of pairs himself. He feels the revival of the Saddled O is long overdue.
I'm loving these shoes, they remind me of my TopShop find. These RS Saddled O would look lovely with floral girly dresses.

My favorite shoe for this winter, well there are two, the tod's loafers, because they are amazingly comfy and chic and those hot cutout loubies that have driven everyone insane and are on constant reorder on netaporter. You can still buy them at bergdorf's!
