It's All in the Details

I'm always on the eye out for a casual chic items as these what I consume the most in my daily lifestyle. And in Whistles I found some cute casual items from the store's new Autumn Winter collection 2009. They had really nice oversized and very Stella McCartney-esque knitted tops which would look very on-trend paired with leggings or simply flat boots if you're petite.

This squiggle applique orange dress is incredibly cute and its priced at KD 64.400. Ahem.. even though it's 40 pounds online! (correction.. it's 140 pounds! Thanks Bibi)

This shirred silk tunic would look nice paired with dark skinny jeans or dark stovepipe pants. Price tag? Around KD 50.

Whistles store is located at Arraya Complex, Kuwait City. You can check out their new and bigger collection online here.

Su3ad Al Athbi has beautiful collection of dara3as called sirdab. You can check her facebook group for details of future exhibitions: Sirdab س

Other designers would be NonoPink by Reem Al-Mudhaf, Najeeba Al-Qudibi... but their Ramdan exhibitions were held weeks ago. So your best bet would be to check out the exhibitions at Bayt Lothan, Bait Sidra, Bait 32... you might find sth there.

Thanks for the heads up! ;) I was surprised myself!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
