ecru Goes to Africa

Today I passed by ecru's latest pop-up, ecru x Africa, which was held at Sadu House. I was thrilled when I first found out that they chose the much-ignoried continent for inspiration. Not only because my son is obsessed with african animals, especially elephants, but also I rarely come across African inspired home accessories and fashion that I really like. But now thanks to ecru, the lively African continent and its captivating prints, artifacts and designs are under the spotlight.

The first thing that I did was buy the elephant decorated notebooks for my sons with matching stickers, I wish I captured the moment when I handed the notebook and stickers to my elephant-obsessed son! He had the same expression I usually have when I buy something that I've been searching ages for! It was a priceless moment! Then I moved on to the loungewear and bought a bunch of caftans for my sisters, they were priced at KD 25 ONLY! And one Noon by Noor x ecru caftan for your truly. I wanted to buy the trays and serving plates too, but decided to keep them on my wish list for now, until I can figure out the space in my kitchen and declutter its contents.

Check out some of my favorite ecru pieces in the photos below.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
