If you've been following me on twitter, tumblr, or instagr.am, you would know that I was invited by KENZO team to dress up nine of their mannequins, six on the window display and three in-store, at their Avenues Phase II boutique. It was quite challenging because I had to dress up eight out of the nine mannequins using their new cruise/resort collection. And I'm sure most shopaholics are aware that resort or cruise lines are to some extent limited. So I tired to create a different look on each of the mannequins. The easiest mannequin I have styled was the one which I mixed cruise with statement pieces from the brand's défilé line A/W 2012, that fur jacket! Sigh! Anyhow, it was definitely a fun experience and a loved every minute of it, just as much as I loved styling DKNY a few months back. Scroll down for some bits and pieces about this fun task...
I loved the leather belts at KENZO, they were very soft and make a great statement piece if you want to accentuate your waist line.
Check out the mannequin on the right striking a "talk-to-the-hand" pose. I loved that cobalt blue blazer with its printed silk lining.
Now THIS is the statement belt that I got, it's in the season's "it" color bright mint green. Loved it!
Mix and unmatch different colors in the same family
Pretty embroidery on one of KENZO's belts
Unfortunately I forgot to take a full photo of this off-white button down shirt from the brand's cruise collection (but you can see it a bit in the last photo). I luuuved it's full shape. Perfect for long and hot summer days.
I used KENZO's cute round brooches and attached them to metallic necklaces to add some flair to the final look. They looked very Marni-like.

Great job, loved the white shirt and all belts!
Thinking it would look great on moroccan kaftans as well...hmmm
The belts are really nice! The choices of pairing them with different outfits are endless!
