Dear Confashion: Orient 499's New Extension

Beirut-based gallery Orient 499, which I have previously featured here on my blog, is loved by people from our region for it's beautiful and unique selection of oriental clothes and home accessories with a modern twist. Yesterday, I have been informed by Orient 499's representative that the gallery has just been extended with around 250sq/m of new space. They have also doubled the space dedicated to their Kaftans.

Other new additions? the hamman products with lots of new collections of hand woven towels and peshtemal, a children's corner with a new collection of girls mini kaftans as well as sherwel for little boys, a room dedicated for men, a dining room with products to master l'art de la table, a bedroom with a beautifull collection of bed linen, and a living room with new designs of their iconic oriental sofas and lights,

Orient 499's representative has shared with me these lovely photos of their new extension. Can you feel the beauty and the serenity of the place just by looking at the photos?! And that beautiful courtyard in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Beirut?!! Man! I want to live inside this place!! If you're planning to visit Beirut anytime soon, you must pass by the gallery. It is located in a modern building opposite the old Holiday Inn Downtown Beirut.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
