Event: Pretty Little Things

I had the pleasure to attend  Pretty Little Things' Bloggers event last night and meet and chit chat with the amazing and inspiring people behind the participating brands like Goji Boutique, Green Bar, Qamar 14, Silsal Ceramics, and May Jewelry to name a few.  It was also an opportunity for me to finally meet my sweet fellow bloggers. It was a nice and cozy event with a very good energy! I'll share with you some of the highlights of the evening. Starting with the charming Ms. Hawazen Al Buaijan, founder of Goji Boutique, who was dressed in a pretty and chic outfit by a brand called Poca & Poca, coming soon to Goji.

Loved this bracelet by May Jewelry designed for a mother who's family members happen to all share the same first letter. Great gift idea here!

The double ring is one of the most popular items of the collection. And below is the talented and super sweet designer May Al Qassar of May Jewelry. Doesn't she have the sweetest smile mashalla?

A mix of modern shapes with traditional and Arabic calligraphy? Yes Please!! I need those tables by Silsal Ceramics in my home now!
How adorable is that hanging rope? Part of The Yard's display.
Owner of Qumar 14's brand displaying in her corner a selection of simple and sweet caftans and vests
Gorgeous home accessories from The Yard... loving the butter knives with their messages!
Amazing deals on Goji Boutique's accessories. Up to 80% off!! Snap them up while you can!

Check out the Christmas decorations on Silsal Ceramics's Christmas tree

And finally met with the amazing entrepreneur and the brainchild behind Green Bar beauty line, Reem Al-Khalifa, which I have featured yesterday. And did you know that she's the sister of one of region's top creative style bloggers The Overdressed from Bahrain.

Before I left, I was given a lovely goody bag with a selection of items from the participating brands like Goji, Baby B, Firin Gluten-free bakeryThe YardSilsalMay Jewelry, annnnd Fatima Naqi Make-up Academy, who by the way did Ivanka Trump's makeup on her recent trip to Kuwait thank you.

A big thank you to all, especially the charming Noaf, for organizing this cozy and sweet event and for the lovely gift. The event is open to the public starting today from 7pm-11pm and until Thursday 8th December from 4PM to 11:PM .

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
