So Passé.. Soooo Impressive

A few days back I posted about Villa Moda's event "So Passé" which was basically an exhibition of vintage evening wear from the 60's up to the early 80's.  At first I thought it was an interesting event. But I honestly didn't think that it was THAT amazing until I checked it out myself. I was completely blown away by the beauty of some of the pieces (and their very reasonable prices!). Price range was around KD 170 to KD 600. But wait, that's not all. Scroll down to the last picture to find out my biggest surprise.

They had THE famous Princess Diana “revenge dress” that she worn in 1993 straight after her spilt from Prince Charles (of course it was sold immediately! That's what happens to me when I procrastinate). The exhibition is on for a few more days, so if you have the time, pass by, it's worth it.  OK, now you can scroll back up to admire some of my favorite "So Passé" gowns (The pink strapless gown with a side huge bow is just tdf!).

Hi Ladies,

The dresses at Villa Moda are never worn before vintage dresses. The original tags are available at the store if you need them.

The exhibition is still ongoing at the Manolo Blahnik space should any of you wish to visit.

Enjoy shopping or looking!

It actually takes a classy girl as Abeer to wear such classy dresses.

I know this little lady very well. Probably the most unique architect, and artist in the entire Gulf. It is a rear commodity to combine beauty, skills, and brain. But Abeer has it all. DIFC and Villa Moda are lucky to have her work for them. She is definitely an asset.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
