Downtown Cool with Alexa

The much anticipated Mulberry Alexa bag, named after UK presenter-turned-style-icon Alexa Chung, debuted at the brand's boutique in the Avenues Phase II.  And of course the Oak and tan leather versions are already sold out.

I normally avoid "designed-by-celebs" accessories as they tend to lack the quality and creativity I look for in a bag, but this one actually appealed to me. Its preppy, worn-in, vintagey, and slouchy style makes it a great every-dayer.  And the price tag is reasonable for a designer bag.  The bag can be worn across the body or carried by the handle. And I liked the fact that the buckle straps are attached by fuss-free magnetic press-stud fastening, which make it easy to access the stuff inside your bag.

What's available now at Mulberry Boutique are the Alexa bag in peony pink shiny leopard print leather (featured here) and in oak shiny leopard print leather.  But I still prefer the plain leather, It looks more refined.

I agree with you, I prefer the more neutral colors on a Mulberry bag. I like the idea of something bright for the summer time to brighten up your outfits but just the structure of the Mulberry bag doesn't lend itself to too much funkiness a7is it clashes fa sayer shakilha cheap shway.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
