Your Resort Shopping List

Here are some suggestions of places to go to for your resort shopping over the weekend (even better if you can make it today).

  • New resort collections from Marni, Prada, Miu Miu, D&G, Gucci, YSL, and Salvador Ferragamo are now available at Villa Moda Shuwaikh, Free Trade Zone.

  • New resort collections from Moschino and Roberto Cavalli are now available at Al Ostoura stores , located at Al Thuraya Complex.

  • I took a sneak peek at Cachael's resort collection, which is available in store now, and I admired the simplicity of the designs and the sweet combination of pastel and bold colors from lavender & dirty pink to bright green & fuchsia. The collection also included tailored skirts, soft knitted tops, and not-so-body-conscious plain & printed dresses. For inquiries, please call Cacharel Arraya on (+965)2997727 or Cacharel Althuraya on (+965) 5711071. And speaking of which, Cacharel is having 30% off on its fall collection.

  • Alexander Wang's fashion-forward resort collection is available now at Al Othman. The edgy and timelessly chic collection is infused with a mixture of 80's neon colors and classic neutral colors. Perfect picks for the season to come. Here are some photos of what's available now:

If only I was in Kuwait. If I may make a suggestion, I've become a fan of your blog and I would like to see a Do's & Don'ts section. Not a Dear confashion section but a more of your opinion on various fashion tips from hair to make up to shoe's etc..

I think some of the ladies in Kuwait need guidence and you could save them from their fashion faux pas's. I think they would listen to you seeing you're becoming Kuwaits Fashion Guru:P

That's a fab idea! Thanks! I'll consider that. Just don't call me a "Glamour Wannabe" :P

Ladies in Kuwait will hate me for that, but I'll take my chances ;)

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Claire Kuwait

Did you know that Marie Claire, an international women's magazine, has been launched in Kuwait and their second issue is already in newsstands? Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. The magazine offers an editorial mix of journalism with glamour, fashion and beauty coverage, and feature stories of lifestyle and serious women related issues. All by an Arabic editorial team. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
