Urban Warrior

Burberry introduces The Warrior Bag, the newest addition to its accessories collection, previewed during the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2008 women’s catwalk show.

The bag appeared in alligator with Celtic medal studs, iguana with armour plates as well as woven alligator. The “luxury warrior” was the inspiration for both the accessories and ready to wear pieces in the collection. Click on the images to enlarge the pictures.

The dual-compartment bag contains functional fitted pockets for holding mobile phones, MP3 players and PDAs. The bag is closed using a leather drawstring feature. The Warrior bag is available in small, medium and large as well as in other fabrications including plain nappa leather, alligator and mega check canvas with leather trim. Colourways include trench, gold, black, grey and pale pink.

Out of the 3 different Warrior Bags, I prefer the gray woven alligator one. It's more refined and I think it has longer shelf life than the armor plates (which costs around $2,200).

The bag will be available from the Burberry store at Arraya Complex this month. For further inquires, please contact Burberry Kuwait on (+965) 299 7622.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
