Richard III - An Arab Tragedy

Time for some cultural feeding. Don't miss out the latest production on Richard III, the current work by Kuwaiti writer/director Sulayman Al-Bassam. The "Richard III - An Arab Tragedy" is an adaptation of Shakespeare's Richard III, performed in Arabic with English surtitles. It was originally commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company in the UK and is now on a world tour.

According to Sulayman Al-Bassam's website "This politically daring production of Richard III unfolds within the hothouse, feudal atmosphere of desert palaces in an oil-rich Kingdom". Sounds interesting.

The play will be shown from 17th until 19th of January 2008 at Maidan Cultural Center located at Abdullah Al-Salem School (Maidan Hawally) at 19:30. Admission is free and no booking is required.

So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
