And the Oscar Goes to Al Othman

If you're a true fashionista, you would have already known by now that shopping wisely means taking advantage of what designers are offering in between seasons. In plain English, you'd better hunt for the "it" items of this year's Resort collections to stay ahead of the fashion savvy Kuwaiti crowd.

And what's better to venture into the resort season other than treating yourself with one lush cocktail evening frock by the ever-so-dreamy Oscar De La Renta?

Al Othman has already received Oscar De La Renta Resort Collection and each piece is blindly beautiful. I'm madly in love with the bright yellow puffy dress (shown on the 3rd picture) and the sleeveless yellow dress with white embroidered lace detail (first picture). Absolutely breathtaking. Here's some of what's in store now.

Al Othman is located at Mariam Complex, Salem AlMubarak St, Salmiya. For inquires, please call (+965) 575-4954.

Really?! it's a shame when you love sth so much and it ends up looking horrible on you!

It reminded me of the dress (also by Oscar) Carrie wore when she went out on a date with the russian guy...

A limited edition KD.1million power bra. I think it was from Ayn Sommers

You are having a laugh. That can't possibly be right. It sounds like a good bargain to me. I saw one in the shop windows at Ann Sommers new factory outlet near Jidda and that cost about $6 million. Either you've got your numbers jumbled or I am just fibbing. Confashions had better investigate and settle the matter once and for all. Interestingly enough, many shoppers from Kuwait visit the Faisaliah and Kingdom centre malls in Saudi for their annual requirement of boas.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
