Dear Confashion: Covers for Quran

I have received the following e-mail inquiry from Mrs. H in Dubai, and thought maybe my beloved readers can help her with what she's looking for.

Dear Confashion,

I'm delivering a baby girl in Ramadan and I was thinking of using Quran as giveaway in the hospital. I want to know if you have any idea of who has beautiful Quran covers or Quran nicely packed. please help!! I want the really creative people or shops you know.

Thankyou,

H.

I have already recommended to her "November Boutique" in Kuwait and "Blessings" in Beirut.  Any other suggestions pretty please?

I know how weird this may sound but when my son was born i went to patchi to look for favors and they have small Qurans, like the size of your hand. I cannot remember all of the colors they had but I got green ones, the cover is made of suede and some sort of silver and it comes in a see through green fabric bag.

I heard that giving away the Quran like that for a occasion is 7aram. I say look into it more and talk to some relegious ppl to make sure. Better safe than sorry :)

I know an amazing store locating next to Brown Booteek in Tala Center. It has Quran covers and I can send confashions a picture of how they look like. I discovered the place in an exhibition last year held in Salwa Al Sabah hall.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
