Exclusive: Alothman's New Store In Bahrain

Our favorite Kuwait-based luxury department store Alothman is now within reach to all Bahraini fashionistas. Known for its ingenious blend of contemporary and high-end designers, Alothman has opened its store last week at La Fontaine Center of Contemporary Art. The location provides the perfect blend of old and modern cultures.

La Fontaine is a private owned historical monument dating back to a 150 years and located in the heart of Manama close to the old “Souk”. It features a number of contemporary art galleries, an open-air amphitheatre, an exquisite fine dining restaurant, an exclusive spa, a state-of-the-art Pilates & Dance Studio, and now the ever hip, stylish, and sophisticated Alothman Store is part of Le Fontaine too, giving the old building a chic jolt.

Needless to say that Bahrain’s new Alothman store offers trendy selection of the world's best brands in fashion such as: Derek Lam, Oscar De La Renta, and Reem Acra to name a few.

Confashions From Kuwait was lucky enough to get some exclusive photos for you to have a sneak peak of how lushly and luxuriously Alothman is decorated. Click on the photos to enlarge them and get a better view.

If I'm not mistaken... I see David Sezto and Oscar De La Renta in the photo above...

The beautiful short metallic Derek Lam dress (shown on the right) and is that Reem Acra on the left? So who wants to go to Bahrain for a quick weekend getaway? A shopping spree, some spa pampering, and a cultural experience all rolled into one. Perfect!

So tell me, is Al Othman in Koweit nearly half as chic as the one opened in Bahrein?

al othman kuwait is THE best! of course it is nicer than the Bahrain one. it is more polished and more conceptual and bright. whereas bahrain seems more earthy.
i think you can see some older pics on their website www.alothman-fashion.com

the chic interiors are elegant and alluring while the mood is calm and welcoming...the merchandise is "la creme de la creme" from the major fashion centers, oscar de la R., vera wang and derek lam from the states, giles from the UK, the coveted Cchristian louboutin shoes from paris....the best stores in the world are those that give their customers the pieces they want and introduce them to collections that they are not yet acquainted with...alothman is amazing in creating that winning combination the customers will love ,,,, i can't wait to see what is next!!!

Dear Confashion, thanks for the update on Al Othman in Bahrain. I was doing some research and your blog came up on google. Arcangel our Womens wear brand is sold in Al Othman Kuwait [not yet Bahrain] but we hope to remedy that. Have a look at our collection at www.arcangel.com

i do hope that they keep the bahrain store very very exclusive!
so far the brands are the avantgarde that the kuwait store has so well introduced to the kuwait market. I hope they keep it this way and dont deviate into trashy eveningwear!!

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
