Event: Corto Moltedo Trunk Show in the Kuwait

I recently attended handbags designer Corto Moltedo's trunk show hosted by Zainab Alabdulrazzaq and Expose Communications at Sadu House. I was kind of excited about the event because it reminded me of the day when I bought my first Corto Moltedo clutch 5 or maybe 6 years ago from Net-a-porter (not stocked there anymore), I still have it stored somewhere in my handbags storage boxes. It was made out of mother of pearl and had 3 huge golden studs in the middle. I wish I could easily access my stored stuff so I could take a photo of it for you to see, they're currently in a warehouse waiting for my big move. Anyhow, the designer had his brand new selection of clutches and handbags on display for one day in Kuwait. Made in Florence, the selection included various shapes and sizes from everyday handbags to intricately embroidered clutches for special occasions. And by the way, only recently I found out that Corto Moltedo is actually the son of Laura and Vittorio Moltedo, the Founders of mega fashion house Bottega Veneta. I sensed some of Corto's new designs were kind of inspired by Bottega's iconic clutches like the "Knot", luxurious handbags like the messenger bag, and the technique used in its colored exotic leathers. Just scroll down and you'll see what I mean.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
