Dear Confashion: Mina Ro Mina

I have been introduced to a jewelry brand called Mina Ro Mina’s by Erika Ponce. While skimming through the brand's lookbook, I have noticed how Its pieces were distinguished by ornate and modern designs. The brand has just unvelied its second collection titled Lilies and Guitars, greatly inﬂuenced by the impressionist paintings of Claude Monet and the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso. from this collection I fell in love with its curved earrings shown in the first photo and the ornamented hair combs.

Most recently, one of Ponce's pieces was chosen by Swarovski to be shown in their “Crystal Loves Leather” showcase gallery in New York in 2009. And this year Mina Ro Mina has been featured in L’Officiel, International Vogue, Teen Vogue and People Style Watch. Also look out for the Lilies & Guitars collection in the November issue of Vogue USA. The brand will be stocked soon in the Middle East so stay tuned for updates on that.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in Miu Miu Boutiques throughout our region.

Did you know that Marie Claire, an international women's magazine, has been launched in Kuwait and their second issue is already in newsstands? Winner of the Best Women's Magazine and Magazine of the Year award for 2005, the magazine reportedly has over 14 million readers worldwide with 26 editions in 13 languages across the world. Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. The magazine offers an editorial mix of journalism with glamour, fashion and beauty coverage, and feature stories of lifestyle and serious women related issues. All by an Arabic editorial team. Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
