Artistic Shopping

I loved the use of installation art next to each of Al Othman's mannequins! I think it says something about the store or the boutique from a creative aspect. It is very rare to see such artistic elements in shops in Kuwait. Villa Moda has original displays every now on then. Now the rest of you... work on it! Show us your creativity!

Must-have bags and shoes? It really depends on your budget.

Although, for must-haves. I believe every woman should have this in her closet:

A Chanel 2.55 flap (black preferably, if it's your first).

Christian Louboutin Decollete pumps (in the middle of being pointy and round) - Perfect for both day and night.

Don't follow trends, especially if you have a tight budget and want designer goods that could last.

On the other hand, if you have a steady budget. Here are some items that are must-haves at the moment:

Chloe Paraty python bag
Hermes Birkin bag
Chanel 2.55 bags in other colors

Shoes:
Louboutin pumps
Lanvin flats
Balmain fringe sandals
Giuseppe Zanotti gladiator sandals

I think window displays are very importnat, and visual merchandising.

It definitely says something about the store, it is equally importnat as the store name, logo design, and website.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Did you know that Marie Claire, an international women's magazine, has been launched in Kuwait and their second issue is already in newsstands? Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. The magazine offers an editorial mix of journalism with glamour, fashion and beauty coverage, and feature stories of lifestyle and serious women related issues. All by an Arabic editorial team. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
