The Devil Wears Balmain

Yes my dear fashionistas, the legendary Balmain jacket with strong square shoulders was right there in front of me at Al Othman. It was love at first sight (which, only exists in fashion!). Pure magnificence.. Pure power… Pure Balmain. My fave is the plain one. Hated the military and the embellished ones.

Al Othman is located at Mariam Complex, Salem AlMubarak St, Salmiya. For inquires, please call (+965) 2-575-4954.

shda3waaa.. tara wayid wayid ga6een 3ala il nass o msaween balmain shay that its not! its just riding its momentary uniqueness in the fashion world as a newly-reinvented trashy-luxe brand. although they do have some nice stuff, its not all that. IMHO

Anonymous & AishahI think around KD 800

Bahrain FashionWell I think now they made their mark in fashion history

Miss ghesquiereIn todays fashion's super fast pace, it means something when every fashion media in the world feature Balmain's creations.

BebeI didn't like Balmain's :)

Agreed with miss ghesquiere.
the shoulders are a comeback from a variety of designers mainly margiela who STILL does them.
i suggest any true fashionista to check his MMM collection out specially the anniversary collection ;)
balmain is way overpriced no matter how much money one has got, it is rather uncool and bad taste nowadays to spend that much on something that carine, emanuelle et al endorse religiously.
christophe needs a knock on his head so does balmains CEO if they wanna ONE DAY make any profit

this simply stands out as a tribute to the king.. michael jackson! remember his weird suits and jackets.. how Balmain is that?
Actually on a more serious note, I loooove the defined cuts of the whole collection. It totally embodies the attitude we need to adapt in these hard times, strong cuts and bold lines!

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
