Credit Crunch Challenge - Part III

When you’re shopping it is essential that you select key pieces which you can use to create numerous fashion-forward looks. You don’t want to buy an item to wear it one way only. So, in today’s Credit Crunch Friendly Challenge, I made sure to select items that are very affordable (less than KD 100) and can be worn in at least 2 different ways.

I fell in love with this bright blue borrowed from “Don-Johnson-in-Miami-Vice” blazer from Zara, you can wear it with equally bright dresses and neutral colored accessories. Or you can pair it with stovepipe pants and fitted top for more of a casual chic look. The blaze costs around KD 30. The red silk dress (KD 30) can be worn on its own too or you can pair it with a cardigan and complete the look with a fitted belt to give you a defined silhouette.

If you prefer settled and toned down looks, you can go for the same concept in neutral colors. The dress is very Donna-Karen like in its shape. All featured Zara items are less than KD 36 each. Oh and don't forget to turn your blazer sleeves up a la Chandler's style.

i'm lovin' the hollywood inserts more than the clothes! :P zara, amongst other stores that are reasonably priced, have pieces that scream zara and others that are neutral and can be worn casually during the day and dressed up really well for a night out. surprisingly, i splurge on my essentials (read: white blouses, jeans, etc.) but when i have a little (and sudden!) occasion to deal with, i do my rounds on the usual stores and zara, because they always have understated pieces (a ton of simple LBDs or one color dresses) that more than often stay put the entire season; those do best on such quick occasions.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
