3.1 Philip Lim Cruise Collection At Al Ostoura

Very so often, I like taking a simple approach to dressing especially on weekend when you just want to feel relaxed and comfy with the company of your good friends. And of course who masters this design tactic better than Philip Lim?!

I went to Al Ostoura’s store at Zahra Complex to check out Philip Lim’s 2008 Cruise Collection. And of course, Mr. Lim never ceases to amaze me. His cruise collection featured cotton tricot cardigans, flaring and ruffled shift dresses, and silk tops with flower applique details. All in spring like colors such as green, pink, blue, white, and khaki's. Here's a sample of what's available in-store now.

Let me tell you though, it helps if you’re as petite as Rachel Bilson as most dresses were on the mini side and it would ruin the look to wear the dresses with leggings.

The plae Blue dress with a belt (shown on the first photo) is around KD 145. The dark blue dress with a matching belt (4th photo) was not more than KD 95. I'm not sure about the rest though.

I compared the price of the dark blue dress from Al Ostoura with the one on Net-A-porter.com was amazed to find out that at NAP, the dress is almost KD 40 more expensive.

I love Philip lim too , but the problem is that most of the dresses are quite short especially if you are tall :(

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
